I just received some photos of the food truck I designed for the awesome dudes of Grilled Cheese Bandits and I think it turned out pretty rad. While working on the logo I was also thinking of food truck designs to keep everything moving. After some initial talks and sending design comps we went with the cheese drips flowing down the sides and a view from the back as if you were looking into the truck and seeing the bandits with their loot, bags of grilled cheese sandwiches. I really wanted the colors to pop so you could see this thing from miles away and the orange and black tie into into the colors of a little baseball team in S.F you may have heard of. In all this was an awesome project to work on, I got to work with great clients who let me flex my illustrative muscle and do what I do. If your in the San Francisco Bay area feeling hungry, check out Grilled Cheese Bandits. Man, I could really go for a grilled cheese sandwich right now.
I just finished creating this logo for Grilled Cheese Bandits, a gourmet grilled cheese food truck out in San Francisco. This was a really fun logo to work on and the owners of the company are two awesome guys, one is an old school punk rocker and the other is a metal head (my kind of people). They wanted their logo to have a western bandit/outlaw look and feel without being too cheesy... sorry I had to go there. This logo is also for a food truck so I wanted it to be simple and bold so it would be easy to read and recognizable from a distance. I also went with a bright color scheme to make this logo really pop. In all this was one of those great logo projects that are a blast to work on, and if you find yourself in SF, get a grilled cheese sandwich from these guys.
